Evolved from the original Accutron B, developed in 1996, the Accutron Plus Drift Airflow Monitor uses advanced digital technology to ensure rugged reliability and repeatability in nearly any mining condition.
The Accutron Plus series uses Ultrasonic Time of Flight technology to accurately measure bi-directional airflow. Ultrasonic pulses are sent back and forth between the transducers across the tunnel, traveling through the air current.

Let “TA-B” be the time taken for the signal to travel from Transducer A to Transducer B, and “TB-A” be the time taken for the pulse to travel from Transducer B to A. The control unit accurately measures the time-of-flight for each direction. The difference between the measured times (TA-B – TB-A) is directly proportional to the airflow. In the case of no moving air, then TA-B equals TB-A and there is no time difference because there is no airflow.
Installation couldn’t be easier. All Accutron Drift units come with pre-assembled cables with connectors at whatever length is needed (up to 1000feet). Choose from plastic or metal pan and tilt sensor mounts which greatly simplify sensor alignment. Accutron Auto range feature will automatically detect sensor face to face distance upon power up.
Multi-language handheld programmer for all other features.
