The Accutron NSI-8 – Network Sensor Interface, was developed as a bus coupler designed to accommodate different process variables with the ability to power those devices and be powered itself with Power over Ethernet technology. No need to power the NSI-8, your gas, temp or other sensors separately. The NSI-8 will receive power over the Ethernet network using an 802.3af power sourcing network switch, a midspan injector, or a legacy power inserter. If PoE is not available or not required, the module can be powered using a standard 24 or 48 Vdc power supply attached at is power input terminals. Power over Ethernet is used to power PoE capable devices where running an AC power feed is either not possible or cost effective.
The NSI-8 has 8 inputs. All 8 can be digital or 4 analog and 4 digital. It also has 2 discrete outputs for limited control. All sensor outputs can be easily monitored and viewed via a standard web browser anywhere on the local network.

The NSI-8 can be completely adaptable to all Accutron Airflow units to provide power and analog communication via one standard CAT5 Ethernet cable. Power Over Ethernet industrial network switches, with 4 PoE outputs, also available.
The NSI-8 is also available in Modbus/RS845 communication method.
